Speaker Bio
" I am the Director of Food Innovation for TXB Stores, a position I have held since January 2024, following 9 years as the Director of Food Operations. I’ve been with TXB for 10 years overall.
TXB currently operates 52 stores across Texas and Southern Oklahoma, with our 53rd store opening in College Station, TX, in June. We are focused on growth, with a plan to open 3-5 new locations per year.
Professional Background:
I entered the restaurant industry immediately after college in 1989, starting as a prep cook in Big Sky, Montana.
Shortly after, I partnered with my father to open Gameday Sports Café, a Sports Bar Café.
After four years, we sold the business, and I spent the next 8 years at TGI Fridays, where I honed my skills in scratch cooking. During my time there, I had the opportunity to manage the Front Row Sports Grill in Arlington, TX, which was located near the Texas Rangers’ stadium. I also worked at DFW Airport, where casual theme dining was rapidly growing.
I took a break from the food industry and spent 7 years in medical sales. However, I eventually felt the pull to return to my roots in food and beverage.
I then joined Applebee’s for a brief time, which led me to my current role at TXB, where I am proud to contribute to a Texas Born brand."
